Synth log mingle plotting. Yes plotting! You! Get in here!

So for at least a month or so now there's been quite a bit of interest in doing an open log for synthesizing all of our dungeon goodies, especially for characters who might not otherwise be (1) motivated, (2) have the IC inclination/knowledge to, or (3) need a certain rank synth partner for that Super Cool and Neat Thing you want to make. So I propose a couple things!

IC organizers! They exist and I know some people wanted to have their characters help organize it, hand out and post flyers ICly for it, etc. Comment here with your interest and we can handwave it into making this happen, and if one of the IC organizers really wants to thread out the IC brainstorming of making this happen, let's throw up a network post. o9
Let's make it happen on a semi regular basis. Every 1-2 months, mid-month? Something like that? I'm open to anything, but it seems like a fun potential regular mingle as people will have to seek out certain ranks for certain items and new cr can branch out that way.
As for a location, I presume it would happen in the Hall, perhaps the courtyard as it's a large space, but that's up to whoever is ICly going to take charge and where they'll choose to have it.

And I apologize a lot as I play a dumb shounen protagonist who is useless in helping to make this happen and better at Leeroy Jenkins-ing shit, although he'd probably help spread the word, especially if his cr is involved. But OOCly I will help set a log up and be Annoying Catalyst Man! Unless someone ICly organizing wants to (oh god please /hands over reigns).

Newbies! Even if you don't have any items to synthesize right away, maybe another character has something they want to sell or exchange for it, and even if not they can get exposed to the concept (maybe you should snag that interesting-looking thing next dungeon). Comment, sign up, and plot below! (Hell, bounce ideas for what the hell an enchanted scale can synthesize into and share your cool ideas, go nuts.) If no one else wants to OOCly organize I'll get a log up on Monday the 15th (cr meme on Sunday?) so characters can have it done before the warplot really gets going. Yes, no, for the love of god shall I just shut up?!

News Broadcast Secret Mail!

Hey! So! Zelos does a monthly ~anonymous~ news broadcast. This typically has things like stuff going on in the IC community, current jobs, gossip, stupid silly stuff and vaguely tossed out subversive info because it's Zelos. This month is going to include some backstory on the Palamedé incident the intro referenced to help ICly bring new characters up to speed. Submissions are here if you have anything you'd like to see appear in the newsbroadcast, etc.

THAT ALL SAID. This month Zelos is also going to anonymously mail people secrets about eachother. I'm just going to blanket say people can work this out with eachother. So if you and another player had secret(s) you wanted to come out between your characters and needed a way feel free to have an unaddressed letter written with pasted together newspaper/magazine letters because I think that's great and hilarious and fits Zelos's weirdness that spells out the secret. If asked carriers will say the sender was Anodyne, but attempts to contact back will come up invalid because that's not Zelos's usual handle.

If you'd like to be randomized submit secrets to this post! And I will match them up to people and stick them in folks' inboxes either Friday or Saturday when I put this thing up. Secrets can be whatever you want for the most part, but a few things:
♦ Nothing super fucked up. I'LL LEAVE THIS TO PEOPLE'S DISCRETION but please don't send people message's about your character's past rape or that your character is the devil and needs to die, etc this is just info sharing. Vague messages like "Y's intentions aren't all they seem" or "X has a past darkness" are fine.
♦ It has to be something Zelos would be able to know! If you want to handwave or playout he found something out that's totes fine. Otherwise stuff that would be sort of known around, he could find out from talking to NPCs, that would be surmizable through observation (Zelos is big on people watching and genre savvy so if your character, for example, stares forlornly at peonies often he'll probably guess they're sad about someone connected to peonies in their past, etc).
♦ Zelos also needs the IDs of people to send mail to them. Again this can be handwaved/played out as you'd like. For the most part if your character's handle is their name/something normal or they've posted publicly he probably has it/can guess it anyway so. Do as you need/want for this!
♦ If you want yes it can be gossip too like what color boxers your dude wears or their favorite secret romance novel they never want anyone to know about, etc, etc serious to silly is all good
♦ If you don't want to send out secrets of your character but want to receive secrets feel free to comment below too

I will be putting up the broadcast and sending these out Friday or Saturday as I am able. Goal is Friday, but if work super kills me it'll be Saturday. Any questions ask here, etc, etc!

Monthly IC Newsletter

Hey there, hey there! Zelos is going to (anonymously) be running a newsletter that will probably be 50% stupid and 50% maybe kind of helpful. The plan is for this to go up once a month at...some point after the intro so new folks can hop in. And that's what this here is about! I will be putting up the ~inaugural~ one this coming Wednesday. What's in the newsletter will vary from month-to-month with the hope to provide setting dressing, additional opportunities for people to gain CR and foster the IC hero community a little. While ICly Zelos will be generating and/or gathering the content from an assortment of sources, OOCly I am asking for submissions to help keep this interesting/relevant to a large range of character!

For this month the newsletter will feature:

Gossip (because this is Zelos): if you have any threads you'd like mentioned, rumors you want started about your character, things your character might do you want to be brought to the forefront, etc drop it on the submissions post and I'll run it! Only limits are if characters not your own are involved make sure to get the other player(s) permission first (or conversely if you want other people to submit things about your character and be surprised comment to this post giving blanket permission and I'll note it down) AND nothing that would be cruel. This is more to be fun/playful (though dark humor is acceptable). No super upsetting serious things like "Bruce Wayne's parents died when he was 10".

Horoscopes: Everyone gets a lucky number (I do not actually promise they will be numbers) and a fortune for the month. These may be incredibly vague or bizarrely specific and whether they come true or not is completely up to you.

Job listings: this will be a permanent feature and the currently active job board availabilities so people can ICly look for groups (if they'd like). But if anyone has any IC job requests their character would like to make (or someone else would like to make for them...) feel free to sling those at me too and they'll be included.

Hero community developments: another permanent provided there's content to be shared, this'll be IC advertisement for businesses, training groups, general group activities that might want advertisement, etc heroes are doing during the month. If you have something along these lines you want to be included again let me know and I'll slot it in.

Synthesis & alchemy recipes: as per the guide lines here. If you have an idea for a recipe you'd like to see or your character has one they would want ICly shared drop me a note and I'll include it in!

Coupons & sales: because every hero needs a deal to stock up with a dungeon coming up! These may or may not actually be useful ~~in fact they probably will be highly NOT useful~~. Something you want to see, send it to me, etc, etc.

I am (and ICly Zelos is) also open to any content other characters might ICly generate. If your character would want to write a newspaper novella, share an opinion, put up an ad, etc all sorts of things or even if OOCly you have some ideas you want tossed in again drop it by me. We'll work something out, everything's good o7.

Downtime plotting!

Since not everyone has everyone else on plurk or plurk itself and there's an whole two weeks of free time with characters being expected back in Caissa by 4/8. For ease of reference:
