LOCATION ♜ AIRY/"FEIXING"
A splendid ship in the sky as free as sparrows in flight.

Commander Lisbrand, Secretary Verdoni and Heroes assigned to the dungeon will board the airship at Caissa’s airport on the morning of the 18th and are estimated to arrive at Salamanca Temple on the morning of the 20th. After all Heroes have exited the temple, dungeon core in their possession or not, the ship will depart in the evening of the same day to bring them back to Caissa. Alternatively, Heroes can walk to Polgar and explore the jungle along the way. Be sure to make it back to Caissa before April 8th! Commander Lisbrand will be making some announcements by then.
Feel free to use this post for plotting. You may also direct questions related to this location at the thread below!
LOCATION ♟ Airy | ||
![]() A flying airship that makes routine stops around THE ENTIRE COUNTRY OF BLANC — and then some. While Blanc’s official name for the airship is AIRY, the people who live here call it “FEIXING”; their leader is the devilishly handsome and seemingly ageless LEI, whom everyone addresses as LEI-GONG, an honorific taken from the Ma Jiang language that they claim as their heritage. The airship’s shell is made to reflect its surroundings by BENDING LIGHT TO BLEND EASILY with the sky, forest canopies, mountains or even cityscapes; the mechanism behind this is unknown. Everything else in this airship is PURE WHITE, from the clothes worn to the plants decorating the living areas. This has led to outsider jokes that the people living in the airship bathe in milk! There are also rumours that Airy is the continent’s biggest source of ILLEGAL CONTRABAND, supplier of many black markets, but Blanc authorities have never been able to prove it. The inhabitants themselves are known for their unique body decorations, from earrings to bracelets to thigh accessories made entirely of FEATHERS. However, observant heroes may notice that some of the accessories look more like they’re actually part of the townsfolk rather than something they put on… One of the greatest form of entertainment available here is MASS LINE DANCING on the weekends; tourists too are welcomed to take part. For the more adventurous, Feixing inhabitants tend to put on MARVELOUS TRAPEZE SHOWS beneath the airship itself when they pass through safer territories, soaring through the air on what amounts to not much more than a few sticks and bits of string. |

Get on before I leave you behind! Me? It’s Lei! I was here last time, too. Can’t you morons tell? Ahaha, I was just messing with ya! Whew, think I need a drink... |
![]() |
Lei Ahhh, it feels good to be back! Clearing up that scandal was a pain in the neck. Well, most things are when your life’s on the line. Now let’s see if I remember how to fly. Hey, Body Double! Thanks for your hard work. I owe you my life. |
![]() |
Lee, the Body Double Captain, you know I would give my life for you. But I’m surprised that plan even worked. We do not look alike. |
![]() |
Lei What do you mean? We’re separated at birth! Nah, I’m just kidding. Let’s just never do that again. That was a dumb plan. |
![]() |
Lee But Captain, that was your plan… |
![]() |
Lei My plan or not, no one’s dying on my watch! Get on the damn ship! |
OUTER LAYER ♖
The main deck of the airship is largely used for its outdoor recreational facilities, which include several swimming pools (the largest one is octagon-shaped), a park that exclusively showcases flora native to Ma Jiang (Lei himself is very proud to own the centuries-old jade blossom tree at the center), and Blanc-style lounges with cushioned chairs made of the softest fabrics.
Above these is the sky dome, where you can find the airship’s many viewing decks. Regardless of location, you are sure to spot the occasional flock of birds riding the updraft created by Airy’s massive bulk in the skies—it’s even been known to attract some griffons! Birds are sacred in Ma Jiang, so Airy isn’t just bird-friendly on the outside: bird cages both large and small can be found everywhere on the main deck with their doors always open. These birds will always come back to the ship to roost eventually, regardless of how far it travels while they’re winging it elsewhere; Airy inhabitants insist they owe the honor to the guests all too eager to feed them!
Airy’s other main attraction, however, is its outdoor theater. Nightly performances often feature international musical acts, famous plays, and world-renowned circus troupes famous for their acrobatics, magic tricks and death-defying feats woven into folk tales from Ma Jiang and the dubious, mythical origins of the airship itself.
This is also where the airship’s bridge is located, but you’ll have to get past tight security in the form of talking pandas. Don’t push your luck — they know kung fu.
INNER LAYER ♖
Further in is the lobby, located at the center of the ship. This is where guests may check in and out of their rooms and approach the concierge for any questions and concerns. From here, glass elevators lead to all levels of the ship.
Guests may shop ‘til they drop at the various shops on this level; prices grow cheaper the further they are from the lobby — interestingly enough, just like Kabe Market, there are nooks and corners here where you can stumble upon unusual little holes-in-the-wall that sell things you may not find (or want to find) elsewhere. The difference is that not all the shopkeepers may want to sell to Heroes right away! Window shopping will net you a quick overview of Airy culture: birds both live and mechanical; scrolls of both words and paintings; firearms of every shape, size and make; anything you could ever want made of feathers, and some things you’d never imagine; Ma Jiang (and totally authentic?) versions of everything under the sun; and of course, every flavor of milk ever invented on and off the continent. You may want to stock up on basic necessities if you’re planning on taking the scenic route back to Caissa.
For the next few days, you'll probably even notice your commander in good spirits as she roams around the shopping area with Blanc's secretary. Verdoni seems to enjoy eating his beignets more than listening to Lisbrand get stars in her eyes as she browses Airy's stock of weaponry.
The restaurants and bars cater food from all over the world, but most specialize in the popular regional cuisines of Ma Jiang. Like their brothers and sisters from the mainland, Airys love their fried rice and are always looking for new innovations for the recipe.
You know what else Ma Jiangs and Airys love? Gambling. The casino comes to life at night with crowds from all walks of life. The shadier ones might even give you pai (牌), a piece of candy that looks like a small mahjong tile. Pai comes in packs and often has beautiful designs on its surface. It’s sweet, chewy and can knock you out for a few hours after you have the most religious psychedelic experience of your life. Totally not worth the headaches and nausea, though.

Verdoni [ AHEM ] … So, are the documents I asked for ready? |
|
![]() |
Lei Wait, let me clean my hands. [ daintily wipes his mouth — not ] Now where did I put it… Here! [ hands over sealed documents. they smell strange. ] |
Verdoni [ poor heroes. now they have to put up with alcohol-scented passes. ] Much appreciated… [ takes them with a wince and holds them by the edges ] |

Lei [ laughs heartily ] Ya welcome! Now have a drink. We need to celebrate my freedom! |
Verdoni [ was lei in jail… ] It will have to wait until I finish. I need to start booking rooms for the esteemed Heroes. |

Lei [ no you moron ] Fine, go work. Make sure they don’t miss their flight — I ain’t gonna wait for anyone! |
UPPER SALOON ♖
The upper saloon houses guests and residents alike, and the only difference between the rooms is that those for the residents are way, way smaller. The bright side is they all get access to the same facilities on the ship. Heroes will be rooming with their party members for the rest of the trip.
The infirmary is staffed with exceptional doctors and nurses who can treat races and creatures of all kinds. With guests from around the globe boarding the ship daily, they pretty much have to.
As one would expect of a luxury cruise ship like Airy, spas are available to give you that long-awaited, much-deserved massage. Truth to be told, Airy does provide milk baths to soften and nourish the skin, but they don’t take them as often as outsiders would think. Lazing around on an airship all day won’t do anyone any good. That’s why Airy has gyms and state-of-the-art training facilities to help you keep in shape. You may even find curious Airy residents hanging around, very much willing to be talked into a spar or two. But watch out: they have a tendency to fight in three dimensions! You may want to be prepared to deal with your opponent being on the ceiling.
Keeping your mind sharp is important, too. Lei is fond of collecting both specimens and knowledge from around the world, so Airy has a library filled with books the ship has collected in the course of its travels. At night, the librarians burn incense to fill the room with an aroma that helps keep guests awake, but Heroes aren’t the only ones who may find themselves napping under a table here! Books may not be checked out here, but the library is open 24/7.
Near the library is a colorful, indoor Ma Jiang shrine dedicated to the weather god Sylvant, whom Airys call Tianshen (天神). Don’t disrespect him or we might get a round of turbulence!
LOWER SALOON ♖
If the upper floors are where the magic happens, the lower saloon is where the ingredients gather. All Airy offices and conference rooms can be found here. Disgruntled or harried assistants may often be spotted walking along the corridors with stacks of papers, cups of tea and the occasional live bird or baby panda. Hidden deeper are the treasury, the engine room, the stables, and the much-coveted panda nursery, but the panda guards are tough to beat!
Threads on part-time jobs may count toward quest AC.
Panda Nursery ♖
Location: Lower Saloon
Type: Part-time Job
Reward: 60 colle per hour
If you ever find yourself strapped for cash on the Airy, you’re in luck! Heroes may now help out at the panda nursery, where talking panda parents drop their kids off before they go to work. But if you thought playing with panda cubs was easy, remember that you have to feed, bathe, groom and make sure they get nap time, too. Your fellow babysitters will also need help with cooking food (bamboo dishes are their favorite!) and cleaning the nursery. No matter what they are, kids can be quite a handful!
Stables ♖
Location: Lower Saloon
Type: Service
Fee: Very Affordable
This is where Heroes may keep their mounts. One mount per Hero only. Animal care is included, so you can have fun without worrying about your mount!
