FREE MAGICAL FOOD (the reckoning)
Hi, guys! This is RW, your resident Archer. c:
As some of you know, I made a network post last week in which Archer asked for some volunteers to test magical food he's whipping up on the side! Eventually, he will be starting a business to sell this sort of stuff; I just wanted to outline some of the things you can expect!
First of all, I asked the mods a few general questions about stat-boosting drugs that apply to all Bishops with the Drug Creation specialization, as well as those who use them. You can read them on the FAQ here, but the most important point is this: While these stat boosters are fun, minor buffs, they do not bestow superhuman strength/speed/etc or provide the same powers that a Rank-Up or a magical Weapon would. It works on this kind of scale...
poor -> below average -> average -> above average > good -> excellent
...and basically a stat-booster will move a character up one level from their baseline level. So, for example, a Bishop with average strength would then have above average strength with a strength enhancer.
You can find a pretty good breakdown of Rank stats here, which is a great reference point if you're not sure exactly where your character stands, stat-wise!
Another thing is, it is possible to overdose on these (not on Archer's watch since he isn't giving out that many right now, but later), AND because they are experimental right now, some of the things Archer is giving out either will not work OR they will have negative side effects. Probably something simple like an upset stomach, nausea, fainting...basically something within the reasonable realm of possibility.
Archer will be warning people that the food is experimental so no one should be surprised by this. It's why he wants to do this in person, so he can dote on your character until they feel betterabout their sacrifice for science. c:
ALL OF THAT BEING SAID, I'm putting up a sign-up sheet so I can have a general idea of what to expect. Archer will give giving out very basic stat boosters and mana restoratives this time around. Anything fancier like fire-breathing, seeing in the dark, or levitation will come much later, when he's better at all of this stuff.
If you have anymore questions about this, feel free to hit me up on this post or on plurk (
arrdubz)! I am also taking SUGGESTIONS for possible stat boosters so feel free to toss those at me, as well! /o/
